Service & Maintenance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our service team based at our head office near Peterborough and working remotely across the UK.

The Role

The successful candidate will join our service team operating from our main offices near Peterborough and working in the field on our customers sites across the UK. Your duties in this role will include:

• Responding to call outs, carrying out electrical / mechanical repairs, planned maintenance, testing, and inspection of construction hoists.
•Using manufacturers drawings to assist other Engineers in fault finding.
• Complete relevant paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
• Carry out thorough examinations on hoists.
• Keep service vehicles clean inside and out at all times.
• Communicating with the Service Manager and operations team regarding the status of call outs / breakdowns.
• Ensure the health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Wear and maintain provided PPE at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

Having previous experience of working with construction hoists or similar, and with a desire to develop your skills and advance your career, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Previous electrical & mechanical background working with construction hoists / mastclimbers.
• Ability to work efficiently while under pressure.
• Experience of working with inverters and PLC’s.
• City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ3 or above in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible working / unsociable hours, and work away from home occasionally.
• Rescue / Harness / Working at Height Training
